The ideal candidate should have a broad knowledge of floating units of all types (and in particular those related to hydrocarbon extraction) coupled with experience in design and analysis aspects of hull structures and mooring systems. Candidates with an understanding of the methods used to derive site specific loadings from metocean data would be preferred. Knowledge of relevant codes and standards including Lloyd’s Register’s Rules related to such systems is considered essential.Based in Aberdeen or London, it is anticipated that short stays elsewhere will be a necessary part of the role as will some element of travel.
